ZUŠ

This is a funny building, isn´t it?
You can guess that it offers its services mostly to children.
When a child wants to learn how to play the piano
or any musical instrument... if he/she wants to dance, paint, draw
or even recitate poems, do drama, play in the theatre,
so children come here. They learn all these activities after school,
in the afternoon. It is usually like this in Slovakia.

M café

You are here, because it is a very popular place
for people to meet each other.
However, during COVID times and actually during the 3rd Corona wave, it is close.
But, you are in the part of the town called KAMENCE.
There are blocks of flats all around you,
those the most rectangular and the tallest were built
during communiste government.
Many of them have been reconstructed,
painted and as there are many flats,
many people live there.
There are nearly 15 000 inhabitants in the town.
KAMENCE IS THE UPPER PART OF THE TOWN.

MEMORIAL in the PARK

In the past,  there was a cemetery in the park.
They carried the remains into another cemetery.
The memorial was built in 1994.
In 2015, they put a new memorial board here,
which also commemorates victims of  WW2.
The park is near the Community Centre called also Cultural House.

FREE TIME CENTRE

Free Time Centre provides a lot of free time activities
for children and teenagers.
They can be held directly in the FTC building,
but also in Primary or Secondary Schools.
There are 3 primary and 3 secondary schools in the town.
If you are there, ring the doorbell on the left.
