DATES - dátumy in British English

 Dátumy v angličtine

Na Slovensku dátum napíšeme ako 9. januára 2020 a prečítame ako deviateho januára. Používame malé písmená a iba bodku na vyjadrenie radovej číslovky.

Briti to riešia zložitejšie! Napíšu 9th January 2020

Radovú číslovku vyjadrujú príponou „-th”

a mesiac píšu vždy s veľkým začiatočným písmenom

Pozor! Pri čítaní medzi číslovku a mesiac vkladajú spojku „of”.

Prečítaný dátum znie takto The ninth of January 2020.

Píšeme: 7 May 2009

Čítame: the seventh of May, two thousand and eight (alebo rok sa číta aj twenty oh nine)

 Zopakujte si tiež!

  • V angličtine sa týždeň začína nedeľou.
  • Dni v týždni sa píšu s veľkým začiatočným písmenom.
  • Dni sa používajú s predložkou ON, napr.: My dance class is on Monday.
  • Mesiace sa v angličtine píšu s veľkým začiatočným písmenom.
  • Mesiace sa používajú s predložkou IN, napr.: My birthday is in May.
Vieš odpovedať?
  • 1. Vymenuj dni v týždni. S akou predložkou sa používajú?
  • 2. Vymenuj mesiace v roku. S akou predložkou sa používajú?
  • 3. Čo sú to „ordinal numbers“? Čo vyjadrujú a ako ich tvoríme?
  • 4. Ako píšeme a čítame dátumy v angličtine? napíš si do zošita 5 príkladov.
